Admissions Guidelines

Our Mission: St. Rose School develops LEADERS. We recognize each person who enters our school as a unique gift from God, intent on learning.  As a community of faith, we grow spiritually, academically, socially, and physically, prepared to live as Disciples of Jesus.  Together, we promote Gospel Values and strive to bring the Catholic Faith to Life.

 ARE YOU… Interested in applying to St. Rose School for the 2017-2018 school year?  If so, here are some important dates to remember for the application process:

 Sunday, January 29:  St. Rose School Open House (10:00 a.m.-12:00 noon); applications for the 2017-2018 school year become available online.

 In the BEGINNING…There is TK and Kinder… Welcome, little ones, to St. Rose School!

  • Transitional Kindergarten (TK) applicants:  must turn 5 years old before June 1, 2018.
  • Kindergarten applicants:  must be 5 years old by September 1, 2017.

 St. Rose School admits students whose abilities and any previous general record in academics and conduct indicate the probability of success at St. Rose. Applications must be accompanied by the supporting documentation.  Applications will be processed according to the priority groups outlined in the admissions guidelines in our SRS Parent/Student Handbook and on a first-come-first-served basis.

There is no application fee. St. Rose School begins accepting applications for each priority group on the following dates:

 2017-18 Applications Accepted as follows:

  •  Sunday, 1/29/17 –        Applications are available online (www.strose.org) or in the school office.
  •  Wednesday, 2/1/17 –    Priority for siblings of current St. Rose School students
  •  Thurs. 2/2/17–Tues. 2/7/17 – Applications accepted by priority as outlined in the Admissions Policy
  •  Wednesday, 2/8/17 –    Open Application Period ~ Accepting all applications   
  •  Friday, 2/10/17 –         New applicant *interviews and shadow dates scheduled by the office.
  •  Tuesday, 5/9/17– New Family Information and Orientation Night

*Interviews and Shadow Days:  Students in grades 1-8, applying to transfer into St. Rose School and their families interview with the principal.  All applications and supporting documentation must be submitted in advance of the interview.  Students are invited to visit the school in with the class of students they will be joining for a Shadow (morning) at which time the student will be assessed in English/Language Arts and Math. This all provides the school with additional information regarding potential student learning needs.
