The Renaissance Accelerated Reader program is an online program that tests students reading comprehension. Students select books in their reading level, read independently, and take an independent comprehension test. This helps the classroom teacher monitor student performance and intervene with individualized strategies for each student.
Federally funded entitlement program to support children with additional academic success.
St. Rose School is dedicated to recognizing the uniqueness of each student and assisting them in reaching their individual potential. Our Education Achievement Specialist works with our students, primarily grades kindergarten-four, and supports teachers and students in grades five-eight. Our Resource Program is directed by our Educational Achievement Specialist (EAS) who works closely with each teacher to these ends.
The St. Rose School Library provides students a variety of reading materials and resources to help develop a love of reading. First through Fifth Grade classes visit the library on a regular basis to learn library and literacy skills in addition to checking out books. The library is also open Monday through Thursday during the fifth through eighth grade lunch period as a study hall. Our goal is for each student to develop a love of reading and to become independent library users.

Include the child’s name, birthdate, and age so that a bookplate may be added to the new book. It will be wrapped and presented to the child to be opened on or near their birthday.
